Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel

Voyages Sails in the Desert is named after the soaring white sails that crown its roof. Sails in the Desert is Ayers Rock Resort's premier resort. This Red Centre hotel features interior décor that is focused on the regions Aboriginal heritage and culture. The lobby area of Voyages Sails in the Desert features a gallery, and artworks are dsplayed throughout the public areas.

Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel offers luxury accommodation in the heart of Australia's unique outback. The hotel has many different facilities including the acclaimed Mulgara Gallery, Winkiku Restaurant and the Rockpool serving tapas style cuisine by the pool. The award winning premier restaurant, Kuniya is also located at Voyages Sails in the Desert.

Voyages Ayers Rock Resort is located in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia's Northern Territory. There are a total of five hotels at the resort including Voyages Sails in the Desert, which provides the perfect base from which to explore the area. With over 65 tours and attractions within the resort and National Park, there is an endless array to things to do in the Red Centre. Guests can ride a camel across the desert, hop on a harley and tour the area, or embark on a base walk of Uluru. There is a variety of touring to set every budget and personality.

Winkiku Restaurant will close for dinner service from 6th February until further notice. Please note that Winkiku Restaurant will still be open for breakfast as usual during this period.

Ayers Rock Resort features more than ten restaurants to choose from all with the convenience of charge-back to your room account. Voyages Sails in the Desert features several restaurants on site including the resort's five star dining experience at Kuniya Restaurant. Ayers Rock Resort also offers several dining experience including the popular Sounds of Silence and Desert Awakenings.

Kuniya Restaurant: is Voyages Ayers Rock Resort's premier dining experience in a beautiful setting. Situated at the five-star Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel, Kuniya incorporates a blend of traditional and contemtporary ingredients, letting guests experience indigenous flavours within a sophisticated menu. The restaurant's wine list reflects its Australian heritage and the service is both discerning and personalised. Kuniya is open each evening from 7pm.

Winkiku Restaurant: Situated at Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel, Winkiku serves a tantalising breakfast and seafood buffet dinner in a brasserie-style setting. Open daily for breakfast and dinner.

Tali Bar: A relaxed, friendly atmosphere at Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel for pre-dinner drinks or late night cocktails. Enjoy nightly entertainment from our resident pianist. Open from mid morning until late.

Rockpool: Enjoy al fresco dining at Rockpool, by the pool at Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel. A tapas-style platter menu featuring Mediterranean and Asian influences. Operation subject to seasonality.

Arnguli Grill: Located at the Voyages Desert Gardens Hotel, Arnguli Grill features an a la carte flame-grilled menu including steak and seafood, in relaxed surrounds. Operation subject to seasonality.
Pioneer BBQ and Bar: A popular dining option at Voyages Ayers Rock Resort located at Voyages Outback Pioneer Hotel & Lodge. A do-it-yourself BBQ (meat must be purchased at the BBQ Bar) with traditional Aussie charm. Meet up with your fellow travellers and enjoy live entertainment nightly. Open daily for dinner.

Bough House Restaurant: Located at Voyages Outback Pioneer Hotel & Lodge, the Bough House Restaurant offers a buffet with traditional Australian 'tucker', including special breads, pastries and desserts. Open daily for breakfast and dinner.

Outback Pioneer Kiosk: A low-priced alternative to restaurant dining with an all-day menu. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Gecko's Café: Watch the world go by while enjoying Mediterranean-influenced dishes or pizza. Situated within the Resort Shopping Centre and open from mid morning 'till late.

Takeaway: Conveniently located in the Town Centre, the takeaway provides quick and easy meals to have on the go with a breakfast and all day dining menu.

Sounds of Silence: An award winning dining experience under the stars. Truly unique offering the best of the Red Centre distilled into four magic hours. Includes transfers, entertainment, canapés, beer, wines and non-alcoholic beverages, barbecue buffet (vegetarian arrangements made with prior notice), dessert, tea, coffee, port, star talk and stargazing. Departs daily one hour prior to sunset, booking in advance is highly recommended.

Desert Awakenings: Travel away from the crowds to a secluded sand dune to watch the spectacular sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. In the company of your expert guide, Desert Awakenings is designed to introduce you to the natural and cultural landscapes of this remarkable region. A light breakfast is served on a private dune top. Departs approx. one hour prior to sunrise.
