Itinerary
Day 1 Alice Springs - Kata Tjuta (Olgas): Travelling south we stop to visit a camel farm for camel ride (own expense). Later stop at a lookout to view Atila (Mt Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. In the afternoon, travel to Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a 2-3 hour walk through the fascinating domes to the Valley of the Winds. The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness. Later enjoy an 'outback' sunset followed by a glass of sparkling wine. Continue on to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing (weather permitting). Vegetarian meals available upon request at time of booking. Overnight at Ayers Rock Resort.
Day 2 Uluru (Ayers Rock): This morning there is the option to do the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This evening enjoy sunset and the changing colours of Uluru and a complimentary glass of wine. Optional Sounds of Silence Dinner (own expense) is available this evening. Overnight at Ayers Rock Resort.
Day 3 Ayers Rock Resort - Kings Canyon: The morning is at leisure to relax or join an optional tour. In the afternoon, travel to Kings Canyon. There may be time to view the sun set behind Carmichaels Crag. In the evening you might like to view the stars in the 'outback' sky. Overnight at Kings Canyon.

Day 4 Kings Canyon: This morning make the climb to the rim of the canyon, where you will be rewarded with marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness). Continue the 3 hour walk around the canyon with your guide as you hear and learn about the geology and history of this amazing formation. Take a rest and a moment to enjoy the tranquillity of the 'Garden of Eden'. Alternatively, take the easier 1.5 hour walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor. Return to Kings Canyon Resort for lunch (own expense). There is time for an optional scenic helicopter flight (own expense) to view the canyon from the air. Travel on to Alice Springs or back to Ayers Rock Resort this afternoon.
Note: During the summer months (Dec-Feb), the Kings Canyon rim climb may not be available in hot weather conditions. An alternative itinerary including guided walks at Kathleen Springs and along the Kings Canyon creek-bed will apply.
