2 Day Uluru Explorer

The 2 day Uluru Explorer is operated by AAT Kings and provides an insight into the culture of the local Anangu Aboriginal people. On your Uluru tour, explore Walpa Gorge at Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), Mutitjulu Waterhole and sunset and sunrise over Ayers Rock.

As not all travellers ideas of a holiday are the same, you have smaller tour options to suit yourself. This Ayers Rock tour is ideal for travellers with only a short time in Central Australia.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Uluru (Ayers Rock) to Kata Tjuta (Olgas): On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport we transfer you to your hotel (flight into Ayers Rock Airport prior to 1.00pm). This afternoon explore Walpa Gorge at Kata Tjuta, then travel to the sunset viewing area to enjoy nibbles and a glass of wine while watching the sunset at Uluru.

Day 2 - Uluru (Ayers Rock): This morning there is the option to do the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours include sunrise at Uluru, a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The first option allows time for climbing, whilst the second option includes a longer guided walk at the base of Uluru. You may have time for an optional scenic helicopter flight (own expense). In the afternoon you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight. Flights must be booked to depart after 1.30pm (flight not included in tour price).
