2 Day Uluru Ayers Rock Discovery

Let AAT Kings take the hassle out of travelling in these remote areas of Australia, by joining a short break 2 Day Uluru (Ayers Rock) Discovery. This is an ideal way to see the Northern Territory and the Red Centre's highlights with expert guides and comfortable transportation. Visiting Ayers Rock (Uluru) in the afternoon light to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset drift over the rock.
Experience the sunrise over the rock the next morning with your choice of either a base walk or rock climb. You will see the many different shades that wash over the rock at different times of the day. Visits are also made to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.
Itinerary
Day 1 Alice Springs - Uluru (Ayers Rock): Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Stop at a camel farm for for an optional camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta, with a photograph stop made along the way. Walk between the domes in Walpa Gorge, before travelling to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Watch the sun set and the changing colours of Uluru whilst enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. Stay overnight in your choice of accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.
Day 2 Uluru (Ayers Rock): This morning there is the option to do the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Base Walk (Y41). Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Tour finishes at lunch time at Ayers Rock Resort.
