2 Day Uluru Ayers Rock

AAT Kings offers the 2 Day Uluru (Ayers Rock) short break, an ideal way to explore the Northern Territory's Red Centre with freedom and flexibility. This 2 day overnight tour starts from Alice Springs before venturing towards Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) for a visit and continues through Walpa Gorge to see the sunset over Uluru and enjoy a drink and light snacks. There is also the opportunity to visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.

Enjoy an overnight in your preferred style of accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort. In the morning discover the beautiful sights of Uluru at sunrise with options to climb the rock or participate in a base walk. With a short break such as the 2 Day Uluru you can fit this into even the shortest itinerary for example in just a long weekend and you can experience the Red Centre.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Alice Springs - Uluru (Ayers Rock): Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Stop at a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. The afternoon is spent touring Kata Tjuta including a walk into Walpa Gorge. Travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area to watch sunset and the changing colours of Uluru, while enjoying nibbles and a glass of wine. There is the option to upgrade from the afternoon Kata Tjuta and Uluru Sunset Tour (Y13) to the Kata Tjuta Valley of the Winds Walk, Sunset and Barbeque Dinner Tour (Y14), at an extra cost. Spend the night at your choice of accommodation within Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 2 - Uluru (Ayers Rock) - Alice Springs: This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include watching sunrise at Uluru, a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. The first option allows time for climbing, while the second option includes a longer guided walk at the base of Uluru. Time is also available for an optional scenic flight (own expense). In the afternoon depart for Alice Springs.
