1 Day Litchfield National Park

Travel south on the Stuart Highway, passing WWII airstrips. We make a short morning tea stop at Batchelor, before entering Litchfield National Park. Litchfield National Park is one of the Northern Territory's newest National Parks, with 146,000 virtually untouched hectares waiting to be explored. We make the drive into the Tabletop Range, an ancient sandstone plateau. You will have the opportunity to take many interesting photos, particularly of a group of magnetic termite mounds.
View Florence Falls from a lookout positioned high above the falls. We make our way down the stairs through the magnificent open valley to the plunge pool below. Continue to Tolmer Falls, where we can take a short walk to be rewarded with spectacular views of the falls. From here the Litchfield tour ventures to Wangi Falls for a picnic lunch, where there is time to swim if you wish (conditions permitting). We return to Darwin in the afternoon from this Litchfield tour.
