Kuniya Walk

The Kuniya Walk with Anangu Tours, commences at the Uluru Cultural Centre, where your Aboriginal guide introduces you to the stories of Ayers Rock. After your introduction to Aboriginal Law head off on a fascinating walk to the base of Uluru. You will visit caves with Aboriginal rock art paintings, see the awe-inspiring Mutitjulu Waterhole and discover a variety of local bush foods. On this Ayers Rock tour, your guide will show how the foods were prepared and demonstrate bush survival skills that were taught to them by their grandparents. Your Anangu tour guide traces the creation story of the Kuniya Python Woman in the ripples and marks on Uluru.
All Anangu tour guides have grown up in Central Australia and have an intricate understanding of the environment and flora and fauna. All tours are conducted in the guide's own traditional language, with interpretation into English provided the the experienced interpreter. The cultural walks are up to 2 kilometres in length and include many activities and opportunities for asking questions.
