TopItinerary

Day 1 Alice Springs/ Uluru (Ayers Rock): Welcome to the Red Centre - the heart of the Aussie Outback. From Alice Springs, the tour heads south, stopping for a short visit to an authentic Outback camel farm, where the peculiar inhabitants offer rides to willing visitors. As the sun sets, be awed by the kaleidoscope of colour changes on the face of Uluru. Celebrate the end of a very special day with a sparkling wine toast as the last rays of flaming outback sun disappear beyond the horizon. Return to camp at Yulara and enjoy a traditional Australian meal cooked in the fire coals.

Day 2 Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)/ Alice Springs: Head off on a walk through the 36 brightly coloured domes which combine to form dramatic gorges. Learn about the fauna and flora native to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta region, and the extensive fire management practices which are employed in the national park. Wander among the red domes and through the winding creek beds of Walpa Gorge. Commonly referred to as the Valley of the Winds, the gorge is the mythical home of the cork-tree women, whose hair is represented in the line of black water stains through the valley. After enjoying this remarkable cultural site, return to camp for a tasty bush lunch. With full stomachs and a stack of unforgettable memories, it's time to hit the road and return to Alice Springs.
